最近、多くの企業経営者が『選択と集中』と言うのを聞くことがありますが、以前は正反対の『多角化』を目指す人達もいました。『選択と集中』は、永遠の真理ではなく、時代の流れ従って対局に変化するということです。
これ以外にも、両極がたくさんあります。例えば、『多様化』と『均一化』、『集中』と『分散』、『汎用』と『専用』、『マス』と『ニッチ』などです。
重要なことは、時代の流れに従って、今この両極のうちどちらを重視するかを決めてこれに沿って事業を行うことです。ただし、時代の流れに従って振り子のように対局にシフトする柔軟性も重要です。
